HOW IT WORKS

Q: How does Solidap know when a slot opens?
Solidap connects to your calendar using read-only access (Google, Microsoft, or ICS feed). When an earlier time becomes available due to cancellation or reschedule, Solidap detects the availability change.
Q: How do customers join the early notification list?
Customers opt in by texting EARLY to your Solidap number after seeing the line added to your reminder messages or scanning your QR code.
Opt-in is voluntary.
Q: What happens when a customer replies EARLY?
They are added to your early notification list. When a matching earlier slot becomes available, they receive a text message asking if they want to take it.
Q: What happens when a customer replies YES to an earlier slot?
Your staff receives a notification with:
• Customer name
• Customer phone number
• Original appointment date/time
• New earlier slot date/time
Your staff updates the appointment in your scheduling system.
Q: What happens if staff does nothing?
Nothing changes.
Solidap does not modify appointments. Staff must update appointments manually.
Q: What if multiple customers confirm at the same time?
Solidap follows a controlled batch notification system.
Only the first confirmed request should be honored by staff. Additional confirmations should be handled according to internal scheduling availability.

CALENDAR REQUIREMENTS

Q: What calendar systems are supported?
Solidap supports:
• Google Calendar (read-only connection)
• Microsoft Outlook (read-only connection)
• ICS calendar feed (read-only link)
Your system must allow one of these connection types.
Q: What if my scheduling software does not directly use Google or Outlook?
Most modern scheduling systems sync with Google or Microsoft behind the scenes. If not, they usually provide an ICS feed. If your system cannot provide any of these, Solidap may not function properly.
Q: Does Solidap see appointment details?
No.
Solidap only monitors time availability. It does not access patient records, medical notes, diagnoses, or financial data.

Q: Do I need a special phone number?
Yes.

Q: Can I use my existing phone number?

Q: Who pays for the SMS messages?
You do.
Subscription fees do NOT include SMS delivery costs. Messaging charges are billed monthly based on usage.
Q: How much do SMS messages cost?
Costs depend on volume. Charges are billed monthly through your assigned messaging provider.
Q: Can customers opt out?
Yes.
Customers can reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe.

Q: What if my reminder system does not allow message editing?
You may use the Solidap QR code provided during activation to allow customers to opt in.
